Ah July! My favorite month, my birth month. A valid time for me to unabashedly ask for things I want. 😛

My daily tote’s handles are fraying along the edges, so I’m scouting for a new bag to replace it. I’m currently crushing on this Dagne Dover classic tote. 💼 I need a roomy bag, but without the little things drowning and getting lost in the mess. I like how the Dagne Dover tote has many compartments to keep things in place and organized. The design is clean and classy. I want one in bleecker blush or onyx.

And while we’re at it, this matching Dagne Dover wallet and pouch.

I’d also like a fruit infusion water bottle. 😉

A rash guard and legsuit, to cover up my unsightly parts for when I decide to join my little penguin.

A pair of white Keds sneakers. I think leather would be less dumihin and easier to clean. Whatchatink?

Muji storage drawers!

That’s it for the material things. The real birthday wishlist is WEIGHT LOSS! 😛

Christmas Wishlist 2016

Christmas Wishlist 2016

The Christmas vibe came early this year for me. 🙂 Unlike last year when political ads and jingles pervaded the air, I am hearing more Christmas songs this time. Jose Mari Chan’s Christmas album is playing *en loop* in the car, pero hindi sya nakakasawa. 😛 I personally like “The Sound of Life”and “Mary’s Boy Child.” Elmo likes listening to “A Wish on Christmas Night”, “Do You Hear What I Hear?” and the carrier single “Christmas in Our Hearts”! Sometimes, he’d let me sing those songs to him. Buti na lang Jose Mari Chan’s songs are so easy to sing along–no birit required. And they are soothing too, actually. 🙂

It’s also colder now. (Cue music: “Malamig ang simoy ng hangin… Kay saya ng bawat damdamin…” ^_^)

The Christmas spirit was only slightly dampened by Super Typhoon Lawin, but was immediately restored. And after that storm, I am just grateful more than ever that my loved ones and I are alive and unscathed (because one can be alive, but still broken 😦 ), and our house only sustained minimal damages (the northeastern door of our house got ripped off). This renewed sense of gratitude and the recent reminder of what matters most has made me look forward to Christmas all the more. 🙂

But that doesn’t mean I am not participating in any exchange gifts this year. So for the sake of my Secret (and Not-So-Secret) Santas, here’s an updated version of my wishlists from Christmases and birthdays past! Just so you know what to get me which I will definitely find useful. 🙂 NO MUGS PLEASE, except if they are Cath Kidston. 😛 No clocks and picture frames too! And lest I be considered choosy or an ingrate, allow me to explain: We still have a couple of extra clocks we don’t know where to place. Same goes for the picture frames. I’m still figuring out our wall layouts. Dapat final na when you decide to bore holes on your walls and hammer the pegs, hence the indecision. 😛

My Christmas Wishlist for 2016:

  1. FunKo Pop TV toy figures of Mulder and Scully. FunKo POP dolls are so cute! I’m contemplating whether or not to include Harry Potter as well, but I would have to throw in the whole gang into the mix. (Because I’m a completist like that. 😛 )
  2. Scully’s crucifix pendant
  3. These anatomically correct heart, ribcage & ECG pendants, from Bijoux de Lou.
  4. A small and cute Korean “perpetual” planner. Or–and this goes our to the usual suspects–the Starbucks Blue Siren 2017 planner. 😉
  5. A large and pretty desk calendar
  6. Lip and cheek tint from The Body Shop
  7. Virgin coconut oil
  8. Washi tapes
  9. Label-maker, Brother brand

I didn’t include books coz I’m still doing some “Konmari” on my little library. Will probably come up with a separate blog post on my “Book Wishlist” in the future. 😉

Christmas Wishlist 2015

Christmas Wishlist 2015

It’s 43 days to Christmas, and I have yet to feel the Christmas vibe. @_@ It may be the recent calamities and problems besetting the country that’s contributing to this slump. Why, I’m seeing more political ads than I’m hearing Christmas songs. X_x It could be the heat. The “ber” (brrr) months are supposed to usher in the cold season, but the El Nino phenomenon is making November feel like summer. 😮

Anyway, to jumpstart the holiday feeling, I’m writing my Christmas Wishlist. It’s different from my Birthday Wishlist, because that one is more like a Shopping List. (I have since purchased the Jose Mari Chan “Christmas in our Hearts” album.) If you’re feeling galante, you could also gift me with items from it. Although at this point, I am not too keen on books (except for the hard-to-find X-Files Official Episode Guides) and trinkets and rainy day stuff. We’ve just recently moved house and have so much organizing to do. And until we have settled, I do not want to add any more to the clutter.

My Christmas Wishlist for this year is more practical. Also, I would’t mind receiving multiples of the same thing (except for the last item–one apron is enough, since I do not even cook! 😛 ) So if you are my secret Santa in any of the gift exchanges I am joining this year, here’s what you could give me for Christmas, which I would definitely use/need.

  1. A cute Korean *perpetual* planner.
  2. Lip and cheek tint from The Body Shop–a staple in my makeup kit.
  3. Benefit Big Easy (in 03 Light Medium), and The Porefessional–my current makeup faves; I’m still using the same tubes I bought 6 months ago! 😀
  4. Human Nature shampoo and conditioner. Because I love their scent and packaging! 🙂
  5. Virgin coconut oil.
  6. Spa/massage GC.
  7. Tornado mop.
  8. Yaya Dub apron 😛
Birthday Wishlist 2015

Birthday Wishlist 2015

July is my favorite month. That’s because it’s my birth month, as well as that of my husband and my mom (and our first pregnancy had it push through. 😮 ). And because birthdays are also perfect occasions for asking for presents making wishlists (the other one being Christmas 😉 ), here’s mine for the year.

1. The Official Guide to The X-Files Volumes 1-3. Because I’m a completist (see book peeve #10), and I’ve already got The Official Guide Volumes 4-6. Tsk, I really should have bought Volume 3 then when I got the chance. But then, I didn’t have the cash. 😦 It was pricey, esp for a college student allowance.

The Truth Is Out There (The Official Guide to The X-Files Volume 1)
I Want To Believe (The Official Guide to The X-Files Volume 2)
Trust No One (The Official Guide to The X-Files Volume 3)

2. Scully’s crucifix pendant. (Hello Patron! I wonder if you’re reading this. 😉 😛 )

3. Barbie and Ken, as Mulder and Scully. and/or

4. These very cute Mulder and Scully FunKo Pop TV toy figures. 🙂 Because I am on an X-Files roll. 😛

5. Brain coasters and brain candle from Think Geek. 😎

6. Jose Mari Chan’s “Christmas in our Hearts” album. 😎 Because we’re halfway through the year, and before you know it, it’ll be Christmas. And Jose Mari Chan is the essence of Pinoy Christmas! Hehe. 😀 (Side story: I once saw him at the airport. And unlike other artistas who pretend that they do not see you and purposely look the other way, Mr. Chan met my gaze, nodded, smiled and began to sing “Fancy meeting you alone in the crowd, couldn’t help but notice your smile….” Ok, I’m kidding about the last part. 😛 But he did smile, and I find it rather nice coming from the best-selling Filipino singer of all time. And man, he still looks the same as when the first time I saw girls and boys selling lanterns on the street!!!!)

7. The Philippine Madrigal Singers “Acclamation” album. Because of their soul-stirring “Awit ng Paghahangad.”

.

8. Cath Kidston stuff for the rainy season: cag in a bag and a walking umbrella in Clifton Rose Bloomsbury design.

9. The Morning Star Trilogy (Boxed Set) by Nick Bantock. Because as previously mentioned I’m a completist, and I’ve already got the first set. I’ve always been fascinated by the correspondence between Griffin and Sabine. 🙂

10. Benefit Big Easy (in 03 Light Medium), and The Porefessional. Because they are my makeup faves of the moment. Seems pricey, but if you use only a pea-sized amount, a tube can last you 3 months. 😉

11. VMV Hypoallergenics Know-It-Oil (VCO). I’ve started using this in lieu of moisturizer/lotion because of my eczema.

So to my fans, friends and family who wish to make me happy on my 3-th birthday, now you know what will. 😉

Seriously though, I just like making lists of things I like. It always feels good thinking about your favorite things. Most of the time, my wishlists are just fancy shopping lists because I end up buying these things for myself anyway. 😉 The REAL Wishlist is much more personal and less materialistic. 😛 And because they are things (to quote a song), “the world cannot give… the world cannot understand…” it is really more of a Prayer List. In a nutshell, I wish for/pray for PROTECTION, PROVISION and PEACE. 🙂
